Additional Notes
It is important to read and fully understand all instructions before attempting any electrofusion work. Permanent field installations should only be undertaken by operators who have taken part in an electrofusion training course, which includes classroom and hands-on installation training, offered by a Strongbridge International Inc. (“Strongbridge”) authorized instructor with knowledge of polyethylene electrofusion installation procedures. The training program must include, as part of the curriculum, the operator successfully making a successful electrofusion connection that passes pressure testing per ASTM F2164 Standard Practice for Field Leak Testing of Polyethylene Pressure Piping Systems Using Hydrostatic Pressure and/or destructive testing under U.S. D.O.T. 192.283.
